Holistic Self-Care Coaching for Helping Professionals
Self-care is an important way to maintain your health while serving others. Providing empathetic counseling for those who share emotionally difficult stories can be draining. Stress behaviors and illnesses can surface when we don’t take care of ourselves. With a proper self-care plan in place you can increase energy, improve health, gain focus, and feel more balanced.
My self-care program starts with a six session commitment to our work that takes place over the course of three months. During the three months we get to know each other and determine personalized goals towards your self-care needs. In addition to our sessions, you will have two 15 minute coaching calls, text messages from me motivating you during the program, and helpful handouts such as assessment tools and worksheets. At the end of the 6 weeks, we evaluate progress and decide whether to bring the work to a completion or embark on another journey together to deepen your self-care plan.
Self-care plans include (but are not limited to): learning how to meditate; practicing relaxation skills; developing an exercise routine; improving motivation; developing healthy morning and evening routines; and setting boundaries to maintain your ideal work/life balance.
